The Moonwine Quartet performing in a moonlit Ebonreach tavern

Where lanterns glow and moonwine is poured, four wandering Fae gather mortals and supernatural folk beneath one roof—and make the night remember itself.

The Moonwine Quartet is a traveling band of two male Fae and two female Fae who journey from tavern to tavern across Ebonreach. They carry no permanent stage and claim no single court as home. Their road is measured in inn signs, whispered invitations, and the distance between one enchanted performance and the next.

Four Voices on the Road

The Quartet’s balance is as deliberate as the music they create. One male Fae carries the lute, shaping the melody with nimble strings and warm, dancing chords. The second male Fae keeps the pulse on hand drums, turning quiet rooms into gatherings that move with a single heartbeat.

One female Fae plays a golden harp, drawing celestial tones through even the roughest tavern air. The other raises a silver flute whose lilting melodies seem to travel farther than walls should allow. Together, the two men and two women weave bright harmonies over soft percussion—uplifting, romantic, hypnotic, and unmistakably Fae.

Moonlit Revelry

The Moonwine Quartet embodies the elegance and enchantment of Fae artistry. Silvery moonlight, soft blues and violets, and glimmering gold follow them wherever they perform. Lanterns surround their borrowed stages, and crystal decanters hold the shimmering drink called moonwine, said to loosen the voice, inspire song, and make old memories dance at the edge of sight.

The male performers favor tailored velvet tunics bearing leaf-etched embroidery. The women wear flowing silk and lace, floral crowns, and translucent wings dusted with starlight. Their appearance is refined without becoming distant: ethereal, but inviting enough that even wary travelers find themselves drawing closer.

More Than a Tavern Concert

A Moonwine Quartet performance is part concert and part ritual. Candlelight swirls through laughter. Tankards rise in time with the drums. Fae and mortal hearts find the same rhythm, if only for the length of a song.

Their themes return again and again to love beneath the moon, fleeting beauty, roads that refuse to end, and the magic created when strangers share a song. Patrons often describe the experience as being serenaded by the night itself.

Wandering Through Ebonreach

The Quartet’s repertoire changes with the road. In Velvethorn, their music may carry the playful step of a Fae dance. Near Frostvale, it becomes quiet and crystalline. In the shadow of Blackfire Crag, the hand drums take on the memory of embers. At the Vellum Exchange, melodies pass through the crowd like secrets changing hands.

No two tavern nights are entirely alike. The musicians listen to the room, the weather, the mood of the Veil, and the stories their audience brings with them. Then they choose the song the night requires.
