Appearance
Aldric is a gaunt, towering figure with ash-pale skin, shoulder-length white and grey hair, and crimson eyes that glow like embers beneath the Mourning Bell. He wears a tattered priest’s cassock of black and dark red, its shifting symbols and scorched edges untouched by further decay. Bone-and-silver prayer beads hang between his hands, while crosses and ritual ornaments preserve the shape of a faith that no longer offers him salvation.
Personality and voice
Haunted, detached, and unexpectedly merciful, Aldric observes mortals with the solemn curiosity of someone remembering a life that no longer belongs to him. He no longer believes as he once did, yet he continues to pray—not for forgiveness, but so the forgotten will be remembered. He guides lost spirits back toward their graves and speaks in slow, deliberate phrases, as though every word risks waking the presence below.

The Third Consecration
Aldric’s mortal life ended when he attempted to seal the entity beneath Ashenveil during the Third Consecration. The presence did not simply kill him. It rewrote his blood and bound the remnants of his faith into a form of vampirism untouched by known clan lineage. When Aldric emerged years later and rang the Mourning Bell, its voice had changed with him.
